The Danish Wrist Group, one of the world’s largest ship suppliers, is launching a new brand for its offshore business. The aim is to expand its reach and create more synergies.
Wrist has recently expanded its portfolio considerably through a number of acquisitions – and last year finally acquired a new owner itself from the private equity sector.
Under the umbrella of the new company, Wrist Offshore, the Wrist subsidiaries Strachans, Den Helder Stores and Boa Praça – which previously operated independently – will join forces in future. According to a statement, the aim is “to create a unified brand that brings together the complementary expertise within the Wrist Group under a single, outward-facing identity”.
Wrist aims to use this to usher in the next phase in the development of its own offshore business. The companies have operated independently to date, but were already part of the group. Boa Praça was acquired by Wrist in 2024, whilst Strachans and Den Helder Stores have been part of the company since 2011 and 2015 respectively.
The Wrist Offshore brand will in future provide services in more than 70 ports across the UK, the Netherlands and Brazil. The company hopes to achieve “an expanded global presence with enhanced synergies between the offshore and ship supply sectors”.
