The Danish shipping company DFDS has appointed Sandeep Shahi as Chief Digital & Information Officer and a member of the Executive Board. He joins from the US logistics firm FedEx.
Shadi will join DFDS on 16 November 2026, succeeding Rune Keldsen, who is due to leave the company at the end of September after six years. Keldsen will take up the role of Chief Information Officer at the energy company Ørsted.
Shadi currently serves as Chief Information Officer at FedEx for the Asia-Pacific, Middle East, India and South Africa regions, and also heads up the ‘Global Field IT’ division worldwide. Previously, he held senior technology roles at the DHL Group and at SAP. Having spent much of his professional career in global logistics and supply chain organisations, his focus, according to DFDS, is on how technology can help make complex operational processes more efficient.
As Chief Digital & Information Officer, Shahi will head up the Technology & Innovation division at DFDS. He will be responsible for driving the further development of systems, platforms and digital capabilities that support customers, staff and operational processes across the entire DFDS network. He brings with him extensive experience in technology leadership and standardisation within global organisations.
