The Osnabrück-based logistics company Nosta is further expanding its international sea and air freight business. A new Commercial Director Global Sea & Air has joined from C.H. Robinson. The newly created position is intended to accelerate global customer acquisition.

Jesper Lund has been Commercial Director Global Sea & Air since 15 February, as the Nosta Group has now announced. With Lund’s expertise, NOSTA intends to strengthen cooperation between the international subsidiaries and further develop strategies for global customer acquisition. “With Jesper Lund, we have been able to inspire a proven logistics expert for our ambitious internationalisation course. His more than 30 years of experience in the industry will enrich our family business enormously,” says CEO Nicolas Gallenkamp.

One of the aims of the new appointment is to connect the companies in the Netherlands, Poland, Romania and the USA more closely at the sales level and to jointly develop overarching strategies for customer retention and acquisition. “He will engage in intensive coordination with the local teams in order to derive concrete plans from the overarching growth strategy that will strengthen Nosta’s international market presence,” says Gallenkamp.

Lund joins Nosta from C.H. Robinson

Jesper Lund (54) can build on a successful career in air and sea freight, including positions as Director, Business Development EMEIA at FedEx Trade Networks, Nordic Director Freight Forwarding Services at UPS Supply Chain Solutions, Business Development Manager at DSV, and Sales Manager at DanTransport. Most recently, he was responsible for European sales at C.H. Robinson. There, he already worked together with the new COO Global Sea & Air of the Nosta Group, Ivo Aris.

Under the operational management of Peter Mundt, Nosta’s air and sea freight business has grown significantly in international importance over the last five years. Aris and Lund want to continue this development. The first step will be to expand the sales team.
