Anne Sofie Staunsbæk Veyhe will take up the post of CFO at the bulk shipping company Norden on 26 October. The current CFO, Martin Badsted, is moving into a strategic role.
The Danish bulk shipping company Norden has appointed Anne Sofie Staunsbæk Veyhe as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO). As the company announced today, she will take up the post on 26 October. The current CFO, Martin Badsted, who has held the role for ten years, will simultaneously take on the role of Chief Strategy Officer (CSO). In this role, he will be responsible for strategy, capital allocation, M&A activities and risk management.
Change in the finance department
Staunsbæk Veyhe joins from GN Hearing, where she currently serves as Business Finance Officer. According to Norden, she has more than 15 years’ experience in finance, investment banking and private equity. This includes M&A, treasury and investor relations.
Prior to joining GN Hearing, she held several senior positions within the GN Group. Before that, she worked in London in investment banking and private equity, including at J.P. Morgan, Horizon Capital and Advent International.
“My focus will be on maintaining strong financial discipline, supporting commercial decisions and strengthening our competitiveness by utilising digital tools and AI to drive long-term value creation,” emphasised Anne Sofie Staunsbæk Veyhe.
“In recent years, an increasingly large part of my focus has been on strategy, capital allocation, risk management and Norden’s overarching strategic direction. This role enables me to work even more directly across departments on these key areas,” said Badsted.
