The Lürssen shipyard has sent a new yacht on its maiden voyage. With a length of 78.20 m, it is one of the smaller units ever built at the Bremen superyacht shipyard.
The new build, named “Odisea”, was created under the project name ACE 21. According to the shipyard, the yacht combines “exceptional lifestyle features with real go-anywhere capability”.
For Lürssen, the almost 80 m long “Odisea” is more of a small caliber – it is around 100 m shorter than the “Azzam” delivered in 2013, which at 180 m is still considered the longest private motor yacht in the world. According to the company, more than 20 yachts under 80 meters have been delivered since the turn of the millennium – around a third of all units built in this period. For the first time, the shipyard collaborated with the award-winning British studio RWD for both the exterior and interior design.
The silhouette of the “Odisea” is characterized by a vertical bow and clear lines. Generous glazing floods the interior with daylight and opens up uninterrupted lines of sight to the horizon.

One of the most striking features is the so-called Beach House: a glazed saloon on the main deck that can be opened on three sides via three-meter-wide sliding doors and is directly connected to the outside deck with its teak-clad pool. Design and construction were carried out entirely in-house and demonstrate Lürssen’s expertise in the realization of complex glass structures.
Other features include a multifunctional sports area on the foredeck – which can be used for basketball, pickleball, yoga or Pilates – as well as a sun deck that can be transformed from an open lounge into a closed skylounge area. This has a jacuzzi, bar, fireplace and a dining area for up to 20 guests. Two outdoor cinemas, a wellness area and a dedicated water sports and diving area with fishing facilities round off the concept.
“Every yacht we build challenges us in new ways,” says Peter Lürssen. “Working with RWD on the ‘Odisea’ has allowed us to push new boundaries in terms of both technology and layout. The result is a yacht that is fully geared to modern life at sea. She is a proud addition to our fleet.”
According to the shipyard, the “Odisea” – like all modern Lürssen yachts – is equipped with a compact exhaust system including patented SCR technology to significantly reduce NOx emissions.
