Digital Logbooks will be in focus at Navtor ‘s stand during SMM 2026, where the company will present the latest developments in its digital logbook solution.
Navtor, whose products and services are installed on more than 18,000 vessels worldwide, has been part of the industry’s transition from paper-based to digital workflows. The company’s Digital Logbooks solution has so far been adopted on more than 1,500 vessels and forms part of a connected digital ecosystem that also includes e-navigation, vessel performance and monitoring.
According to Navtor, the system provides real-time, automated log-keeping by capturing and sharing operational data across vessels, fleets and organisations. It is designed to simplify compliance, reduce administrative tasks and support operational decision-making.
The latest software version introduces an integrated Visitors Log, which Navtor describes as an industry first, together with a Remaining on Board (ROB) report function designed to simplify compliance and reduce crew workload. Other additions include simplified logbooks for the ferry and small boat segment, allowing crews to manage log entries more efficiently.
“Digital Logbooks are a unique platform for continual improvement, efficiency and development across both single vessels and entire fleets. If you haven’t yet embraced Digital Logbooks, now is the time to do so. I look forward to demonstrating their potential to as many people as possible at this year’s SMM,” says Amitabh Sankranti, Shipping Analytics Director at Navtor.
Visitors to the Navtor stand will also be able to see the latest developments in e-navigation, performance and monitoring, as well as information on upcoming regulations, simplified compliance and the S-100 data standard.
