Vega has already had a subsidiary in Norway since 2015. In Sweden and Denmark, the measurement technology specialist was previously represented by local dealers. According to the Schiltach-based company, establishing the two subsidiaries will now strengthen its presence in the two countries with promising markets.

“We want to offer these markets the level of service that we are used to from Vega,” says Jürgen Schuijren, Managing Director of Vega Netherlands, explaining this step. “Our aim is to serve customers in Sweden and Denmark in the same way as in other countries: with knowledge, excellent service and of course our high-quality devices, which together with our employees ensure that we offer each customer the best individual solution for the desired application,” Schuijren continues.

Vega sees great potential

As the company goes on to say, industries in both countries offer many potential applications for the sensors: “Chemical and pharmaceutical companies, waterworks and food and beverage manufacturers are, of course, also represented in these countries. There is also a significant shipping industry in Denmark. In Sweden, we see great potential in mineral extraction, which can be used for chip production, for example,” continues Jürgen Schuijren. Both countries are also experiencing enormous growth in the hydrogen sector and renewable energies.

Each of the two subsidiaries will start work with five sales representatives, two office staff, two service technicians, two sales assistants and a marketing manager. The Danish subsidiary started work on 1 March and the Swedish branch will begin on 1 April.
