Zöllner introduces new zetfon 400/305 electric whistle

The Zetfon 400/305 is Zöllner’s new electric whistle for Class III vessels (20 m to <75 m). Designed in accordance with COLREGs 1972 and IMO requirements, it combines acoustic performance with current technical standards and proven reliability.

At the heart of the Zetfon 400/305 is an acoustically optimised system that delivers a powerful and clearly perceptible signal. According to Zöllner, the optimised frequency design and broad harmonic spectrum ensure excellent audibility even in environments with high background noise, helping critical signals remain distinguishable.

Manufactured from seawater-resistant materials, the whistle is designed for long-term operation under demanding marine conditions. Its IP56-rated enclosure provides protection against harsh weather and environmental influences.

Manufactured in Germany, the Zetfon 400/305 has also been developed with a focus on cost efficiency. Simple installation, low maintenance requirements and a service-friendly design are intended to reduce lifecycle costs while supporting reliable operation.

The Zetfon 400/305 is suitable for a wide range of workboats, including tugboats, offshore service vessels, fishing vessels and other commercial craft. According to Zöllner, this combination of performance, reliability and economic efficiency makes it a future-oriented solution for modern maritime operations.
