Xeneta announces changes to the Board of Directors

Oslo-based freight rate benchmarking platform Xeneta has appointed Marie-Pierre Rogers as the new Chairman of the Board of Directors.

Rogers replaces Birger Magnus on the Board of Directors. Doug Friedman, Robert Toms and Jesper Kjaedegaard have also stepped down as part of the consolidation.

In addition to Rogers and co-founder and CEO Patrik Berglund, the Xeneta Board of Directors now consists of Mark Beith (Apax Growth), Fredrik Cassel (Creandum) and Bridget Shea (Chief Customer Officer of Typeface).

“During Birger Magnus’ tenure as Chairman, Xeneta has become the leading global reference point for ocean and air freight rate data and information,” said Patrik Berglund, co-founder and CEO of Xeneta. “I would like to sincerely thank Birger and our outgoing board members for their invaluable leadership, which has enabled us to approach the future with greater clarity and purpose.”

Rogers brings experience from her executive and non-executive roles in various technology and supply chain companies, including Software One, Spencer Stuart and The International Air Transport Association (IATA), as well as CPGmarket.com, FedEx and DHL.

“Marie-Pierre brings a broad range of skills to our board that fit perfectly with our mission to transform the ocean and air freight market by providing real-time freight rate benchmarking and market analysis,” said Berglund. “Their leadership and industry knowledge will be critical in enhancing our product and customer experience strategies. Under her leadership, we will continue to drive transparency and ultimately solidify Xeneta’s position as the authoritative source for index-linked freight contracts.”

“Xeneta is a fascinating company at the intersection of technology, data and supply chain,” commented Rogers. “I am honoured and look forward to being part of Xeneta’s continued growth and contributing to the company’s future success.”
