At its annual general meeting, WISTA Germany elected a new board of directors. Five of the seven board positions were filled by new members, including the position of president of WISTA Germany.
Carolyn Köhler, Fleet Manager at Bernhard Schulte Shipmanagement, was elected to this position. Carolyn Köhler succeeds Cathrin Prikker, Managing Director at Top Glory Marine Service.
Carolyn Köhler succeeds Cathrin Prikker, Managing Director at Top Glory Marine Service. Prikker held the position for one term, or two years. As the outgoing president, Prikker is looking forward to the new board. She notes that WISTA Germany has a strong foundation, which is why she is optimistic about the future. In addition, the new board will build on the work of the previous one and aims to further increase the visibility of women in shipping. The potential for further growth is also significant, according to Prikker. During her tenure, the Leer and Bremen chapters were established. There is also great interest along the coasts in becoming part of the WISTA network.
The new president, Carolyn Köhler, not only wants to make women in shipping more visible but also to provide greater support for young women through WISTA Young. In addition, she aims to advance issues such as decarbonization and digitalization and demonstrate the wealth of energy and expertise within the WISTA network.
The position of treasurer was also newly elected. This role will be held in the future by Sabine Zeller, managing director of the Maritime Vocational Training Center. She takes over the role from Marina Röhl.
Corinna Seidel, Managing Director of Pallas BrandFare, will take on the role of Event Manager. This position was previously held by Angela Rabe, Sales Support Engineer at Kongsberg Maritime.
Isabell Hackensohn, Special Cargo Manager at Hapag-Lloyd, will take on the role of Contact Manager. This role was previously held by Melina Bröske, Senior Broker Marine Claims at Georg Duncker Marine Insurance.
A new press officer was also elected. Clarissa Androsoni, Business Development Director at Winkels Yachts Interiors and founder of Clarissa Androsoni Consulting & Business Development, was elected to this office. Kerstin Broocks, Managing Director of Guideline GmbH, has handed over the reins.
In addition to the five newly filled positions, the board continues to consist of Vice President Susanne Coulibaly, Operations Manager at TB Marine Ship Management, and Christina Kertscher. The attorney from the law firm Ehlermann Rindfleisch Gadow serves as Compliance Manager on the board of WISTA Germany.
The new WISTA Germany Board of Directors begins its work immediately. The next major event is the world’s leading trade fair, SMM, in Hamburg. As part of SMM, WISTA Germany will once again present the “Personality of the Year” award.
Two years ago, Annette Suhrbier was honored with this award. The managing director of Peter Döhle Schiffahrts-KG was recognized for her outstanding contributions to the maritime industry. The award was presented by Dieter Janecek, who was then the Federal Government’s Maritime Coordinator.
