At SMM 2026, WinGD will present its propulsion portfolio, digital technologies and lifecycle services designed to support this transition.
LNG continues to play an important role in the fuel transition, and WinGD will showcase both its established X-DF and the new X-DF-HP engine concepts. According to the company, the availability of both technologies allows owners to balance factors such as methane slip, efficiency and system integration when selecting propulsion solutions.
With regulatory uncertainty and changing fuel availability, the company also sees growing demand for solutions that maximise the value of existing assets. WinGD’s retrofit solutions, Global Service network and digital services are designed to improve engine performance, increase reliability and support regulatory compliance throughout a vessel’s operational life.
Efficiency remains another key focus. Alongside its engine portfolio, WinGD will present the WiDE digital platform and the X-EL hybrid energy management system, which are intended to improve operational insight and support further efficiency gains across fleets.
The company is also continuing the development of its ammonia, ethanol and methanol dual-fuel engines. According to WinGD, maintaining multiple fuel options enables owners to select propulsion systems that meet both current operational requirements and future decarbonisation strategies.
