The shipping company Wallenius Wilhelmsen is strengthening its group management with Mike Hynekamp, currently COO Logistics, as Chief Strategy and Corporate Development Officer. At the same time, John Felitto, SVP Vehicle Services Americas (VSA), will become Chief Operating Officer Logistics Services.
“To ensure that we are able to both grow and transform in a sustainable, digital way, we are now strengthening the Group Executive Board with a new function, the Chief Strategy and Corporate Development Officer,” says Lasse Kristofferson. The President and CEO of Wallenius Wilhelmsen has been very clear in the past about his ambition to transform the Oslo-based shipping company into a data-driven organisation that offers integrated, zero-emission solutions to its customers.
Wallenius Wilhelmsen creates new position of CSDO
Mike Hynekamp, who has been with the company for 17 years in various roles, has been appointed Chief Strategy and Development Officer (CSDO) to lead a newly established strategy and development office to drive the necessary changes and developments to be an integrated supply chain partner for the shipping company’s customers.
New COO and successor to Hynekamp will be John Felitto
John Felitto, previously Senior Vice President of WWL Vehicle Services Americas (VSA), will take over Hynekamp’s role as COO Logistic Services. Felitto began his career at Wallenius Wilhelmsen in July 2001 as Vice President-Sales and has held various key commercial and management positions in sales, shipping and logistics. He was instrumental in transforming the company from an ocean carrier to a full-service logistics provider and is currently responsible for all aspects of VSA’s fulfilment and logistics operations in the US, Mexico and Canada.
