Voith will celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Voith Schneider Propeller (VSP) at SMM 2026, highlighting a century of propulsion technology while presenting current developments and future concepts.
Visitors to the stand will have the opportunity to learn about the latest Voith propulsion systems and the evolution of the VSP through digital presentations and a model of the Construction & Commissioning Service Operation Vessel (C-CSOV), representing the company’s latest offshore vessel concepts.
A ship simulator will allow visitors to experience the manoeuvrability of a Voith Schneider Propeller on an explorer yacht operating in automatic Dynamic Positioning (DP) mode. Participants can then test their skills in manual manoeuvring challenges.
Throughout the exhibition, Voith experts will present the lecture series “100 Years of Voith Schneider Propeller: History and Future”, covering the development of the VSP and future propulsion concepts. Presentations are scheduled for:
- Tuesday, 1 September, 14:00
- Wednesday, 2 September, 17:00 (special anniversary event)
