First from the Black Forest to the US, now to China: Black Forest-based measurement technology manufacturer Vega Grieshaber is continuing to expand its international presence. The company has officially opened a new site in Jiaxing.
Following the expansion of its electronics manufacturing operations in the US in October 2025, the Schiltach-based company aims to strengthen its global production strategy and lay the foundations for further growth. Production at the headquarters in Schiltach will continue and will be complemented by the new plant.
Vega has now been active on the Chinese market for 37 years. The newly constructed building in Jiaxing comprises around 21,000 m² of production, storage and office space. The site offers space for around 180 employees. The plant is situated in a dynamically growing economic and technology development zone in Jiaxing.
The start of production was preceded by several years of intensive planning, as has now been announced. Following the start of construction in December 2024, the project was completed on schedule.
The production capacity is designed to meet the needs of the growing Chinese market. The facility adopts manufacturing concepts and technical standards from the headquarters in Schiltach. By producing locally, Vega aims to respond more quickly to the demands of the local market, shorten delivery times and reduce logistics-related CO₂ emissions.
