Accurate fuel measurement is becoming increasingly important as ship operators seek to improve efficiency, reduce emissions and meet growing reporting requirements. At SMM 2026, Aquametro will present the new Contoil VZF3 flow meter, developed for precise fuel consumption monitoring in industrial and marine applications.
The Contoil VZF3 combines accurate flow measurement with Modbus RTU communication via RS-485, enabling reliable integration into onboard monitoring and control systems. A large illuminated display provides clear readability under all operating conditions, while a spacious connection compartment is designed to simplify installation and wiring.
The flow meter is equipped with a dedicated power supply, one analogue output and two relay outputs, allowing flexible integration into a wide range of automation systems. Integrated limit monitoring, alarm functions, error diagnostics and status monitoring support safe and reliable operation, while a rotatable electronic head enables convenient viewing from different installation positions.
A modular design allows the Contoil VZF3 to be expanded with optional plug-in modules, enabling the device to be adapted to future operational requirements without replacing the entire system.
According to Aquametro, precise fuel consumption data helps operators reduce operating costs, optimise vessel performance and support sustainability targets. Reliable measurement also provides transparent fuel records that facilitate regulatory reporting and compliance with environmental requirements.
With increasing pressure to improve operational efficiency and reduce emissions, accurate fuel monitoring is becoming an important tool for informed operational decision-making.
