Noris group unveils new sensor and automation solutions

Noris Group develops and manufactures automation and sensor technology for shipbuilding and other demanding industries. Headquartered in Nuremberg, the company operates internationally through subsidiaries in Rostock, Rotterdam and Singapore, as well as the Noris-Sibo joint venture in Shanghai.

The company supports customers with standard products, complete automation solutions and customised engineering projects, covering the entire process from concept development to implementation.

A highlight at SMM 2026 will be an interactive simulator integrated into a custom-built console. It combines the Noris Energy and Power Management solution with the noriStar Propulsion Control System, allowing visitors to experience how coordinated control can support efficient vessel operation.

In the field of sensor technology, Noris will showcase solutions for engines, gearboxes and general shipboard machinery. Particular attention will be given to two recent developments: an oil-level sensor and a speed sensor for turbocharger applications.

Noris will also present noriNet, its Remote Access and Telemetry System for connected services, remote access and operational data transmission. The portfolio is complemented by switchboard solutions for safe and efficient power distribution.

Further highlights include the noriMos Alarm, Monitoring and Control System, customised OEM solutions, local operating panels (LOPs) for engine and gearbox manufacturers, and the new noriESU Engine Safety Unit.

Visitors will be able to experience the systems in live demonstrations and discuss individual automation, sensor and system integration requirements with Noris specialists.
