Hannes Wunder is now one of the Managing Directors of Okee Maritime. He is moving from Braemar to the container ship and tanker shipping company from Hamburg.
In addition to the role of Managing Director, Wunder will also take on the role of Group Commercial Officer from the head office, as Okee Maritime announced in a social media post. His main focus will be on further expanding relationships with existing customers and business partners. At the same time, he will help to “drive new business and investment opportunities”, it says.
The shipping company, which was only founded in 2016, currently operates a fleet of seven container feeder ships with a capacity of 1,550 to 1,841 TEU as well as two MR2 product tankers. The managing partners are Georg von Rantzau and Jan Wolff.
Wunder brings 20 years of experience in the shipping and finance industry. He joins Okee from Braemer Corporate Finance, where he was also Managing Director. He worked for Braemar for 14 years. Prior to that, he was a partner at JHW Hamburg and worked for V.Ships, Ernst Russ and the former shipping company CCNI. “Thanks to his experience, which covers both the shipping and finance side of the business, Hannes will advise clients on a wide range of commercial issues and actively participate in the implementation and development of new and existing projects,” the statement continued.
