Two new board members in the Bremen Freight Forwarders Association

The Bremen Freight Forwarders Association (VBSp) renewed its Board of Directors at its General Meeting.

Thilo Kugel and Sven Schoon stepped down from the board by rotation. They were not available for a further term of office.

The general meeting elected Sylvia Meyer-Nesslage and Arne Müller to the board in their place. Meyer-Nesslage is an authorized signatory and air freight expert at the forwarding company Carl Ungewitter Trinidad Lake Asphalt. Müller is Managing Director of Terratrans Internationale Spedition.

Immediately after the meeting, the Board of Directors re-elected Thorsten Dornia as Chairman. Holger Schulz was again elected as the new Deputy Chairman.

The Board is now composed as follows:

  • Thorsten Dornia (Chairman), Brelog
  • Holger Schulz (Deputy Chairman), EKB Container Logistik
  • Ole Dammann, LS Cargo Logistics
  • Nils Fahrenholz, Lexzau, Scharbau
  • Philip W. Herwig, Röhlig Logistics
  • Sylvia Meyer-Nesslage, Carl Ungewitter Trinidad Lake Asphalt
  • Arne Müller Terratrans International Forwarding
  • Heike Nickel, reimer logistics
  • Claas Röttger, Kühne & Nagel

The Bremen Freight Forwarders Association was founded in 1901 and is an association of all major freight forwarding and logistics companies in Bremen and Bremerhaven. The approximately 200 companies in the sector employ around 5000 people. The managing director is Robert Völkl. The VBSp recently announced its concerns about the US customs policy, but at the same time the members are largely expecting satisfactory results for the current year.
