The maritime trade fair Europort Istanbul is just around the corner. Next week (23–25 October), Istanbul will be the hotspot for the maritime industry.
After a nine-year break, Europort Istanbul is back. The Dutch organizers, Ahoy Rotterdam, are looking forward to next week. According to them, the Turkish maritime industry has a rich history and is among the world’s leading shipbuilding and shipping nations. Istanbul is the epic maritime center, with over 126 shipyards located in the nearby regions of Tuzla, Yalova, and Izmit.
These shipyards are often multi-functional, offering not only new building work but also conversion, repair, and maintenance services.
Over the past decades, Europort has built a strong brand reputation in Türkiye. With Turkish shipbuilding becoming increasingly prominent on the international maritime stage, the time has come to return.
Europort Istanbul marks its long-awaited comeback, reconnecting national and international shipping companies, shipbuilders, equipment suppliers, and service providers.
Speed dating at Europort
At Europort Istanbul, there will not only be exhibition spaces but also several events planned, such as the matchmaking event “MariMatch.” Organized by Enterprise Europe Network Istanbul, this international matchmaking event is for companies and institutions in the maritime industry seeking new business or research partners. The intermediary network of Enterprise Europe Network plays an active role in connecting parties from different countries.
The MariMatch event provides a valuable opportunity to establish connections between Turkish and international counterparts aimed at (technology) partnerships. After registering on the MariMatch website, participants can schedule appointments with other parties or receive invitations from potential foreign partners. More information about this program will be announced in due time.
