MAN Primeserv and C.C. Jensen sign cooperation agreement

The engine manufacturer MAN Energy Solutions and the oil maintenance specialist C.C. Jensen (CJC) have signed a cooperation agreement.

The agreement covers the marketing and distribution of CJC products by MAN PrimeServ, the after-sales division of MAN Energy Solutions[ds_preview].

Kim Kjaer, Global Segment Manager, signed the agreement on behalf of CJC, while Serghei Nastas, Head of PrimeServ Omnicare, Marine & Power, represented MAN Energy Solutions at the ceremony.

Kjaer emphasized that the two companies have been working closely and successfully together for decades. “A key result of this technological partnership has been the development of clean and dry oil solutions for our joint customers that improve oil and equipment reliability and reduce energy consumption and thus the carbon footprint. The natural next step is now the mutual marketing and distribution of these CJC solutions,” says the manager. He sees the collaboration as an important quality feature.

PrimeServ Omnicare, an after-sales unit of MAN Energy Solutions, is responsible for helping the PrimeServ network to expand its service portfolio beyond the standard scope of MAN Energy Solutions by entering into global agreements with various OEMs, such as C.C. Jensen. According to the engine manufacturer, the new cooperation agreement is in line with the motto “Moving big things to zero”, as C.C. Jensen’s product will contribute to improving the CII (Carbon Intensity Indicator) assessment of ships, among other things.

The new agreement applies worldwide – with the exception of Brazil, Japan, Korea and Norway.

Serghei Nastas said the aim is to help customers reduce the carbon footprint of their existing equipment by offering technical solutions from partners that are easy to install and operate and bring immediate benefits, both for the environment and for budgets. “With C.C. Jensen’s lube oil filter system, we have found such a solution. During a pilot phase in 2023, our customers showed great interest in the solution and I look forward to continuing our good cooperation,” says Nastas.
