Maersk appoints Elliott as Regional President for Asia-Pacific

The shipping and logistics group Maersk has appointed Scott Elliott as Regional President for the Asia-Pacific region. He had already been acting in this role since January.

Elliott has been with Maersk since 2020 and was most recently Regional CFO for the Asia-Pacific region. Before joining Maersk, he worked at Toll Global in Singapore as President and Division CFO for the Global Forwarding division. Prior to that, he held various senior management positions at Ceva Logistics in the US, China, the Netherlands and Australia.

With more than 30 years’ experience in finance, management and logistics, Elliott brings extensive expertise in operational, commercial and financial leadership roles, Maersk said.

“The Asia-Pacific region is the world’s largest economic region, of central importance to global trade and a key component of our growth strategy,” said Elliott. He is looking forward to further expanding cooperation with customers and partners in the region and supporting their growth. Maersk also announced that a successor is currently being sought for the position of Regional Head of Finance in Asia-Pacific.
