MacGregor, part of Cargotec, says it is supplying comprehensive packages of RoRo equipment for the two newbuildings. This follow-up order has been included in Cargotec’s order intake for the fourth quarter of 2023. The vessels are scheduled for delivery to the owner in the first half of 2027.

MacGregor delighted with repeat order

MacGregor ‘s scope of supply includes the design, supply and installation support of a complete hardware delivery for both vessels: quarter ramp, side ramp, four deck levels with liftable car deck plates, multiple internal ramps as well as pilot and bunker doors.

MacGregor was selected to supply the RoRo and car deck equipment for the vessels as a follow-on contract due to its long-standing and proven relationship with the shipyard and owner.

“It is a great success for us that we have been awarded the repeat order to supply RoRo equipment for two more PCTCs. In total, we have received orders to supply the complete hardware for eight PCTC vessels for this customer in recent years. I can’t thank the entire team working with Hyundai Mipo Dockyard enough for their hard work and dedication. I really appreciate the trust the customer and the shipyard have placed in us and will continue to invest in our collaboration,” says Magnus Sjöberg, Senior Vice President, Merchant Solutions, MacGregor.
