In recent years, the Bremen-based company has expanded its activities as an engineering and system partner for manoeuvring solutions. Its portfolio covers hydrodynamic design, rudders, steering systems, retrofit projects, repairs and worldwide service.
Loewe Marine’s engineering approach considers propeller, rudder, steering system and hull as an integrated system rather than individual components. The company says this enables solutions that reduce energy consumption, improve manoeuvrability and support more economical vessel operation.
Loewe Marine has also expanded its involvement in international projects. While confidentiality agreements prevent individual programmes from being identified, the company states that it continues to supply systems designed to reduce signatures, improve manoeuvrability and enhance overall vessel performance.
In the retrofit sector, Loewe Marine offers optimisation solutions intended to improve the efficiency, economy and sustainability of existing vessels. These are complemented by worldwide repair and service capabilities, including underwater work carried out while vessels remain in operation.
