With more than 150 years of experience, Körting Hannover develops and manufactures ejector technology for the shipbuilding industry. At SMM 2026, the company will present tailor-made ejector solutions designed for reliable operation, low maintenance and long service life across a wide range of marine applications.
Körting ejectors are individually designed to meet the required operating conditions of each project. This application-specific approach allows the company to develop solutions for both standard and demanding operating environments while ensuring the ejectors are matched to the customer’s performance requirements.
On board ships, ejectors are widely used as bilge and ballast ejectors. Typical applications include ballast tanks, bilges, engine rooms, chain lockers, bow thrusters, cofferdams and forepeak tanks. They can also be used for handling grey and black water.
The ejectors are self-priming fluidic devices for suction, pumping, evacuating, mixing and discharging liquids, gases, vapours and solids. They can be driven by liquids, gases or steam and therefore require no electrical or mechanical drive units. With no moving parts or dynamic seals, the systems are designed for simple, maintenance-friendly operation.
Manufactured from high-quality materials, Körting ejectors are resistant to chemically aggressive media and are designed to operate reliably even under demanding conditions. According to the company, they are insensitive to contamination, protected against dry running and available for continuous operation with minimal maintenance.
The company also offers customised bilge ejectors that can help reduce overall system costs by optimising the design of associated piping, valves and fittings. A project-specific, cavitation-free design contributes to long service life, with ejectors intended to remain in operation throughout the vessel’s lifetime.
As one of the longest-established manufacturers of ejector technology, Körting Hannover continues to develop its portfolio through ongoing research and development, supplying solutions for commercial and specialised vessels worldwide.
