The Jotun Group is organised into five regions covering its Decorative Paints, Marine, Protective and Powder Coatings businesses. The company has 68 companies in 49 countries, 40 production facilities in 25 countries and is represented in more than 100 countries worldwide.
Jotun is a supplier of marine coatings, providing hull performance solutions and coatings for newbuildings, drydockings, onboard maintenance, cargo tanks and cargo holds. The company also supplies coatings for superyachts and leisure yachts.
According to Jotun, demand for its marine coatings and solutions has increased as shipowners and managers seek to improve sustainability performance. Stricter regulations on CO₂ emissions and marine biodiversity have also increased interest in the company’s Hull Skating Solutions (HSS), which became commercially available in 2025. The system is designed to maintain a clean hull, helping to limit the transfer of invasive species while reducing fuel consumption and emissions.
Following the launch of SeaQuantum XT and SeaQuest Endura II in 2025, Jotun now offers its Hull Performance Solutions 2.0 portfolio, enabling hull coating systems to be tailored to different trading patterns. According to the company, its hull performance technologies have received third-party certification from DNV and Lloyd’s Register.
Jotun also continues to develop digital decision-support services, including HullKeeper and Jotun Voyager, which are designed to help shipowners monitor hull condition and optimise maintenance strategies.
