At this year’s SMM, Brombach + Gess will be showcasing what it calls »innovative, energy-efficient and cutting-edge solutions in ship glazing«. The flexible railing-system BalustradeMove is supposed to show how outdoor areas, sundecks, promenades andrestaurants can be transformed into wind-protected zones. By lightly pressing onto the edge of the glass, the moveable pane moves up. No electricity is necessary.
The system can be installed as a new one or existing glass balustrades can be upgraded. Another exhibit shows a 100 % bonded A60 fire-resistant glazing solution, »which presents a visually light and good-looking solution.«
In addition, Brombach + Gess has expanded its product portfolio in the area of interior design with glass. The range includes interior glass doors, glass partitions, walk-on glass staircases, mirrors and decorative glass panes. The diversity of interior glass design will be demonstrated with a few glass samples that enhance interior desgin. The integration of an innovative solar glass (PV glass) will be shown in a glass balustrade.
The laminated panes are said to have an extremely thin and translucent solar film, which hardly restricts visibility. By selecting the appropriate degree of transparency, the focus can be placed on energy gain or light transmission, depending on the area and location of application. »Photovoltaic glass not only generates energy, but also insulates acoustically and thermally! It therefore not only offers significant savings in power generation, but also ensures a good indoor climate and comfort«, Brombach + Gess states.
