HHLA appoints new CFO and extends contract with Titzrath

HHLA has appointed Annette Walter to the position of Chief Financial Officer (CFO). The contract of CEO Angela Titzrath will be extended.

The new CFO Annette Walter comes from the Essen-based energy supplier STEAG, where she was most recently CFO of STEAG Power. The business graduate began her professional career at Deutsche Bank and HSBC Trinkaus & Burkhardt. In the following years, she held various positions in the E.ON Group.

Walter fills a vacancy created by the premature dismissal of her predecessor Tanja Dreilich in June 2023. However, her contract had only expired at the turn of the year. HHLA never officially commented on the reasons for this, but there had been rumours of an alleged power struggle between the former ZF manager and CEO Angela Titzrath.

Titzrath remains HHLA CEO for another 5 years

Titzrath will remain in the executive chair for the next few years. The Supervisory Board has now extended her contract until 2029. She has led the Executive Board since January 2017. “Logistics is facing considerable challenges worldwide, which will also place demands on HHLA. We are very happy to continue our cooperation with Angela Titzrath,” said Supervisory Board Chairman Rüdiger Grube.
