Europort: “Rising Stars” get their own stage again

The Europort trade fair will once again be an important platform for maritime innovations and innovation drivers. To this end, there will once again be a “Rising Stars” pavilion – and an awards ceremony.

This year’s Europort will take place in Rotterdam in the Netherlands from November 4 to 7. The “Rising Stars” pavilion is exclusively for maritime start-ups “that are shaping a smarter, cleaner and safer maritime future”, according to the organizers. This initiative is intended to serve as a springboard for young entrepreneurs and offer a unique opportunity to present themselves in a global maritime environment.

Start-up companies are invited to present their solutions to an international audience of industry leaders, investors and decision makers. Established companies, investors and industry experts are also invited to nominate promising start-ups or scale-ups for participation and their own award.

“Taking the lead in innovation and paving the way to a sustainable maritime future is one of Europort’s main objectives. That’s why we want to put the spotlight on pioneers, thought leaders and innovators of the next generation,” said the trade fair organizers.

The maritime start-ups applying must be no older than 5 years and must be involved in a specific application of an innovative or ground-breaking business model or technology. Applications can be submitted until July 1, 2025. As part of the initiative, HANSA will support the winner with a special prize. The company is providing a five-figure media budget. The aim is to help the winner strengthen their brand presence and attract the attention of the industry.
