Dualog highlights Workspace platform at SMM 2026

Most shipping companies still rely on email and generic messaging apps to coordinate shipboard staff and communication between vessel and shore. According to Dualog, this often results in fragmented communication, limited traceability and tools that have no concept of rank, rotation or satellite constraints.

At SMM 2026, the company will present Workspace, a collaboration platform developed for maritime operations.

Workspace provides unified access for both shipboard staff and shore teams through role-based and personal accounts reflecting operational hierarchies. Communication channels are structured by vessel, rank and function, helping to ensure that the right information reaches the right people.

When crew rotations occur, role-based accounts retain their history, enabling structured handovers. Workspace is built around the structures that define maritime operations, with channels organised by vessel, rank and role. Access is managed at the same level, so users only see the information relevant to their position. According to Dualog, access is fully traceable, supporting accountability and incident review.

The platform integrates with crew management systems to automate user provisioning and keep access aligned with current crew status. It is optimised for LEO satellite connectivity and complies with IACS E26/E27 and IMO MSC-FAL.1/Circ.3 requirements. Workspace is available via a web browser as well as native iOS and Android applications for onboard and shoreside use.

Fleet operators can already apply for early access to deploy Workspace across their fleets.
