DIBS: Partnership with the Port of Dubai extended

The Dubai International Boat Show (DIBS) will continue to be held in the port of Dubai in the coming years. An agreement to this effect has now been signed.

According to the DIBS organisers, the agreement stipulates that the Dubai International Boat Show will have its own infrastructure and location in the Port of Dubai in the immediate and foreseeable future. This should provide opportunities for expansion. The announcement of the extension of the partnership was made during this year’s Dubai International Boat Show, which ended on Sunday.

“Dubai represents the new world”

“Dubai represents the new world and a new era in recreational yachting,” said Trixie LohMirmand, Executive Vice President of the Dubai World Trade Centre, the organiser of the Dubai International Boat Show. “Everyone is talking about the rising energy in the city and at the boat show. We have been called the most beautiful boat show in the world many times this week. That’s easy to do when the Dubai Boat Show takes place in a world-class marina against the most magnificent skyline of any yachting destination.”

The Dubai Boat Show and the Dubai Harbour venue are determined to accelerate this unstoppable momentum of partnering with the international community to build the world’s next preeminent and most sought-after yachting hub, LohMirmand added.

His Excellency Saeed Mohammed Hareb, Senior Advisor to the Dubai International Boat Show and Secretary General of the Dubai Sports Council, added: “Dubai Port is a fitting venue for a city that is increasingly making a name for itself in the global maritime space. The continued collaboration between the Dubai International Boat Show and Dubai Harbour is great for the international yachting community and inspires confidence to grow with energy and enthusiasm. I have been with the show since its inception and it is incredible to see its growth and commitment to uniting the entire maritime industry. I very much look forward to seeing how the show will evolve in 2025 and beyond.”
