As vessels become increasingly connected, cyber threats are becoming a growing challenge for the maritime industry. The DEIF iE 250 Marine has been developed with cybersecurity integrated into the system from the outset.
Certified according to IACS UR E27, the iE 250 Marine is designed to help shipowners and system integrators meet the requirements of IACS E26. According to DEIF, the controller supports the protection of crew, cargo and critical operations while helping ensure compliance with current cybersecurity requirements.
The iE 250 Marine has been designed as a modular controller for a wide range of applications on coastal and commercial vessels. It can be installed in different configurations, including front-mounted or base-mounted, combined with remote displays, or expanded through bidirectional I/Os and extension racks.
The touchscreen interface can be adapted to specific applications, while configurable soft buttons provide direct access to frequently used functions. The controller also integrates with other DEIF products, including the iE 350 Marine, enabling scalable system architectures.
With the CODESYS PLC add-on, the iE 250 Marine can be extended beyond conventional power management applications to support application-specific control functions.
