The third yacht of the Amels 200 type has left the Dutch Damen Yachting shipyard in Vlissingen.
The 60-metre new build was christened “Marsa”. The yacht, which was sold in May 2021, is now on her maiden voyage to her owner. The shipyard had previously delivered the sister ships “Stella M” and “Moonstone”. The series was originally launched as Amels 188, with the two-meter shorter “Volpini 2”. [ds_preview]
Damen’s yacht with hybrid propulsion
The hull of the 1,015-BRZ yacht was designed by Tim Heywood. The interior was created by Wisch Design. The ship can accommodate up to twelve guests. According to the shipyard, notable features include an elevator spanning four decks, an air-conditioned fitness room on the sun deck and floor-to-ceiling windows in the owner’s suite, as well as a range of optional extras at the owner’s request. To reduce emissions, the new build has a hybrid propulsion system.
“We are very proud to have handed over ‘Marsa’ to her owner. We thoroughly enjoyed building the yacht together with the owner and his team, and it was an honour to be entrusted with turning his vision of a yacht into reality. The entire Damen Yachting team wishes the ‘Marsa’, her owner and crew fair winds and safe sailing,” said Rob Luijendijk, Commercial Director of Damen Yachting.
