The Columbia Group wants to expand its business with Turkish shipping companies. To this end, the ship manager is repositioning itself in Istanbul – among other things, Columbia is joining forces with Italmar Horizon in the metropolis.
The company has moved into larger office premises in Istanbul – together with Italmar Horizon Turkey, a joint venture between the Columbia Group and the Italmar Group. The Columbia Group, which is part of the Schoeller Group, announced that this move is intended to strengthen cooperation between the two companies.
Angelo Straquadanio, Managing Director and Board Member of Italmar Horizon, said: “The shared office space offers valuable opportunities for collaboration and synergies between our teams.” Xanthos Kyriacou, Regional Managing Director of Columbia Group, added: “Turkey remains a strategically important maritime market. This expansion will allow us to deepen our engagement with local and regional players while enhancing our operational capabilities and responsiveness.” The aim is to attract additional customers from across the region.
