Ceva completes next project logistics acquisition

The logistics subsidiary of the French shipping group CMA CGM, Ceva, acquires all shares in the Fagioli Group. All relevant authorities have approved the takeover of the project logistics company.

The share purchase agreement thus applies retroactively to December 15, as Ceva announced. The approximately 450 employees of Fagioli are to be integrated into Ceva Logistics in order to create a “leading provider of global project logistics solutions” under one roof, according to the statement.

Fagioli, headquartered in Italy, is to contribute to further growth, particularly in Europe, the Asia-Pacific region and North America, both in industry and in the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) sector. When the acquisition was announced, there was already talk of “complementary competencies” with which the entire value chain of project logistics was to be covered.

For Ceva, this is a further step in the project logistics market. Gefco, Bolloré Logistics and Spedag Interfreight have already been acquired for this business in recent years. In addition, Ceva signed a joint venture agreement in Saudi Arabia in October 2024 to establish Ceva Almajdouie Logistics.

The shares in Fagioli will be purchased by the private equity company Quattror as the largest shareholder. The remaining shares are held by the family of long-time chairman Alessandro Fagioli. The M&A strategy aims to expand the company’s presence in strategic regions and value-adding logistics sectors.
