The subsidiary of the Coli Group, Asia Break Bulk, has entered into a strategic partnership with CSL Shipping.

As part of the cooperation, CSL and ABB intend to work closely together on the marketing of CSL’s multi-purpose freighter “Jian Yang Hua Qing”. The ship has two cranes with a lifting capacity of 250 tons each for loading general cargo, heavy-lift and project cargo and is now in operation for both companies.

MPP operator Asia Break Bulk and Shanghai-based CSL will jointly operate the vessel, allowing both companies to gain additional market coverage in the MPP segment and expand their availability to their global clientele. To provide flexibility to customers, all commercial requests can be handled by CSL’s Shanghai office, ABB’s team in Singapore or Coli Group’s headquarters in Hamburg.

Expanding presence in the MPP market

Felix Peinemann, Managing Director of the Coli Group, explains: “This partnership will expand our presence in the MPP market. Coli is continuously expanding its activities to offer its customers more driving options and increase its presence in the Chinese market. We have already recently added the ‘ABB Victoria’, an F240 multipurpose vessel, to our fleet. With this additional vessel, we will be able to serve an even wider variety of cargoes and projects with a lifting capacity of up to 500 tons. We look forward to a fruitful cooperation with our partners at CSL Shipping.”

Jack Lee , Managing Director of CSL Group, adds: “This partnership will strengthen our global network so that we can offer better services to our customers. The commercial, operational and technical teams of both companies will work closely together to ensure the highest quality and standards for our mutual customers. Indeed, we see this step as a major milestone for CSL.”
