Antti marine to reveal sustainable marine doors at SMM

As the maritime industry moves towards net-zero emissions, sustainability is extending beyond alternative fuels to every component on board a vessel.

According to Antti Marine, reducing structural weight, selecting low-impact materials and designing products for a circular economy are becoming increasingly important throughout a vessel’s lifecycle.

The company has developed a lightweight door structure designed to reduce overall door weight without compromising structural strength, acoustic insulation or fire safety requirements. According to Antti Marine, every kilogram saved on a vessel’s interior can contribute to lower fuel consumption and operational emissions.

The doors are manufactured using responsibly sourced materials selected for durability and environmental performance.

At the end of a vessel’s service life, the doors are designed for disassembly and recycling through their high metal content and modular construction. The company also emphasises product longevity, with the doors engineered to withstand demanding marine environments and reduce maintenance requirements and replacement intervals.

At SMM 2026, Antti Marine will present its latest marine door solutions and discuss current and upcoming projects with visitors.
