The Swedish supplier Alfa Laval is once again changing its Managing Director for the DACH region based in Hamburg: Olaf van Heerekhuizen succeeds Jenni Borgström.
In his new role, the Dutchman will be responsible for the activities of the Alfa Laval Group’s German sales company for Germany, Austria and Switzerland, it was announced today. Van Heerekhuizen is an “internal” solution: he has been working for Alfa Laval in management positions for eleven years. The Group is active in the fields of heat transfer, separation technology and fluid handling, among others.
The new Managing Director takes over from Jennie Borgström, who took up the position at the beginning of 2025. Borgström is leaving “as planned” after 15 months as Managing Director “to pursue new professional opportunities outside the company”, Alfa Laval announced.
Van Heerekhuizen reportedly brings expertise in the areas of digitalization, innovation and service business. He began his career at the Forbo Group, an internationally active Swiss manufacturer of floor coverings, construction adhesives and drive and light conveyor technology, followed by positions at the Agta Record Group, a manufacturer of automatic door systems.
In 2015, Olaf van Heerekhuizen moved to Alfa Laval Nijmegen, a Dutch location of Alfa Laval. There he took on various management positions in the Service division. He was then appointed Managing Director of Alfa Laval Nijmegen at the beginning of 2024. “I am committed to strengthening the DACH industrial location together with my team, Alfa Laval’s global network and, above all, together with our customers. Too often, there is still a lack of knowledge – and courage – to make industrial processes and entire sectors more energy-efficient, cleaner and therefore also more cost-efficient with the technologies developed,” says the new Managing Director.
