The shipping company WEC Lines is adding Hamburg to its liner service between Northern Europe and Portugal.
The service will started on 23 September. From then on, the Dutch shipping company’s ships will also call Hamburg regularly. The German port will be spliced into the liner network, which also includes Rotterdam, Antwerp, Leixões, Setúbal and Montoirin.
With departure from Hamburg on Sunday and arrival in Leixões on Saturday and Setúbal on Monday, this fast service offers an environmentally friendly alternative to truck transportation from Germany to Portugal, according to WEC Lines.

“By adding Hamburg to our shortsea services, we offer a fast and reliable solution for our Portuguese customers to Northwest Europe and vice versa,” said Caesar Luikenaar, Managing Director at WEC Lines.
