Wago expands expertise in switch cabinet construction

The Wago Group has a new member. With the acquisition of Bauer Systeme, a company for handling systems in control cabinet construction, the range of products and services for customers in this segment has been expanded.

With its integrated control cabinet construction and handling systems, such as transport systems or assembly tables, Bauer Systeme represents an “ideal addition to the Wago portfolio and the classic components business such as terminal blocks, labelling and power supplies,” the Minden-based company announced on the occasion of the company acquisition.

According to Wago, it will continue Bauer Systeme’s current, successful business and intends to expand it sustainably. The newest member of the group will become an integral part of the portfolio but will continue to operate independently. The Bauer Systeme site in Bretten in Kraichgau, with around 30 employees, will remain in place.

Bauer will complement the Wago portfolio

“Wago and Bauer Systeme are not only entering into a business partnership – we also share the same fundamental values. In our collaboration, we strive to meet our customers at eye level and to convince them with simple, fast and pragmatic solutions. In addition, Bauer’s portfolio perfectly complements our offering with high-quality and proven market services for the store floor in enclosure construction. This will also strengthen our component sales. We are very much looking forward to working together,” says Steffen Weinreich, Vice President Business Unit Interconnection Industry at WAGO.
