The Dutch company VPS, which specializes in maritime decarbonization services, has a new Chief Financial Officer, Frans van Helden.
Van Helden is to take over the financial strategies of VPS and align them with a sustainable future. Most recently, van Helden worked in other management positions, including Finance Director for the TIP Group and CFO at Cube Cold, both portfolio management companies. His career began at General Electric (GE Capital) as a finance manager, followed by a position at ABN AMRO, where he was CFO Japan and Executive Director of Structured Products. With this “extensive experience in financial management”, van Helden is well positioned to accompany the maritime decarbonization at VPS and enable further success and innovation.
“We are delighted to have Frans on board as our new CFO to lead our finance team and act as an integral part of the Group Leadership Team,” said CEO Malcolm Cooper. “He brings a wealth of financial management and business experience that will be extremely helpful in driving the growth and overall development of our business.”
Van Helden himself said: “In my role, I will focus on ensuring financial stability, driving growth and identifying new opportunities to improve our business. I am truly honored and excited to join VPS as the new Chief Financial Officer. I look forward to helping drive our company to new levels of success.”
VPS has been in the market for over 40 years and specializes in helping customers decarbonize their services and products. This includes evaluation and testing services as well as comprehensive consulting in the maritime sector.
