Van Oord appoints new Chief Transformation Officer

The Dutch hydraulic engineering and offshore specialist Van Oord is strengthening its management team: on March 1, Jeroen Sanders will take over the newly created position of Chief Transformation Officer (CTO).

In this role, Sanders will become a member of the Executive Committee. Sanders has more than 28 years of experience in managing transformation and change processes. Most recently, he was Chief Transition Officer at Enexis Groep. Prior to that, he held several management positions in the energy sector, including at Essent.

“We are delighted to welcome Jeroen to Van Oord. His drive, expertise and proven ability to lead comprehensive transformation processes will provide a strong tailwind for our transformation program. With Jeroen on board, we are accelerating our journey towards a more efficient and future-proof organization,” emphasizes Van Oord CEO Govert van Oord.

As CTO, Sanders is responsible for Van Oord’s group-wide transformation agenda. This includes multi-year programs to increase efficiency and further develop operational excellence. The new role will support the company’s strategic goals of focused and profitable growth.
