The French group TotalEnergies is repositioning itself in the fuel sector and combining shipping and aviation. A familiar face is at the helm.
Louise Tricoire has been appointed Senior Vice President of the newly created aviation and marine fuels division at TotalEnergies.
She has been with the Group for over 20 years. In fall 2022, she was appointed Head of the Marine Fuels Division. “I am delighted to be appointed Senior Vice President of the newly created Aviation & Marine Fuels business unit at TotalEnergies,” says Tricoire. This expansion of the role marks a pivotal moment for the company “as we accelerate our journey to address the complex challenges and opportunities of decarbonisation in two key transportation sectors on a global scale.”
TotalEnergies wants to promote the exchange of best practices
Today’s operators in the aviation and shipping industries are facing significant regulatory changes and demands for sustainable solutions. The Group now says it is aware of the potential impact it can have on both industries. By establishing this new strategic group, the company aims to promote mutual learning and sharing of best practices between these businesses to optimise supply chain efficiency and sustainable energy solutions.
TotalEnergies Aviation has been active for over sixty years. With more than three decades of market experience, TotalEnergies Marine Fuels is the business unit responsible for the global marine bunkering business. According to the official statement, there are more than 200 marine customers in over 130 ports in Europe, Asia-Pacific, and Africa.
“I am very much looking forward to leading this new business unit, building on the knowledge and experience I have gained in my role at TotalEnergies Marine Fuels,” Tricoire added. In the coming months, she plans to make new contacts within the aviation industry.
