Carnival Corporation has appointed Stuart Allison as the new Chief Commercial Officer of the P&O Cruises brand.
He is a long-standing member of the company – most recently working as Senior Vice President Asia Pacific, UK & Europe at Princess Cruises and leading its international commercial team.
With the new position in the Carnival UK management team, the company aims to implement the long-term strategy of P&O Cruises and exploit the “full potential of the growing UK cruise market”, the shipping company announced. Allison will take up his new post in October.
Big plans for Carnival and P&O Cruises
“We are delighted to welcome Stuart back to the UK, where he began his career with Carnival Corporation over 25 years ago,” said Paul Ludlow, President of Carnival UK and P&P Cruises. “Stuart’s knowledge and passion for our brands will be a great asset to Carnival UK and he will be instrumental in helping us achieve our goals.”
With the two new Excel-class ships, which have been in operation since 2024, there have been more guests on board than ever before. With Allison, they want to continue on this course.
Allison himself commented on his promotion as follows “I am delighted to be joining the P&O Cruises team at a time when the UK cruise market has so much potential. While a record number of Brits took a cruise last year, several million people opted for other forms of vacation. I am confident that together with the team and all our partners, we have every opportunity to bring cruising to a wider audience and reaffirm our position as the UK’s most popular cruise line.”
