Stena Line secures important Poland-Sweden connection

The Port Authority of Gdynia has re-awarded the operation of the Public Ferry Terminal. The contract was granted to Stena Line, securing its route to Karlskrona until at least 2032.

The port authority of Gdynia has completed the tender process for the operation of the Public Ferry Terminal. The contract was awarded to the Swedish ferry operator Stena Line, which will be able to continue its connection between Gdynia (Poland) and Karlskrona (Sweden) in the long term. The new contract runs from 2026 to 2032.

“The result of the tender ensures the continuity of our strategically important Gdynia-Karlskrona route, one of the most important ferry connections in the Baltic Sea. It also has the status of a Motorway of the Sea in the EU’s trans-European transport network. This decision confirms the joint commitment of Stena Line and the Port of Gdynia to long-term development, investment security and sustainable shipping in our region,” emphasizes Marek Kiersnowski, Trade Director for the route.
