Rainer Seidl becomes new Chief Financial Officer at Everllence

On September 1st, Rainer Seidl was appointed to the Executive Board of engine manufacturer Everllence.

He takes over the “Finance” department and succeeds Jürgen Klöpffer, who is retiring. Seidl most recently worked for Volkswagen AG for several years.

“Everllence develops decarbonization solutions for the global economy and is therefore a key driver of transformation in our industry. Strategically far-sighted financial management is essential to ensure the continued financial success of this development,” said Gunnar Kilian, Chairman of the Supervisory Board at Everllence, formerly MAN Energy Solutions. “With his analytical strength and financial expertise, which he has already successfully demonstrated in the Volkswagen Group, Rainer Seidl will make a significant contribution to ensuring Everllence’s continued success in the long term.”

Kilian thanked Jürgen Klöpffer on behalf of the Supervisory Board for his “outstanding contribution” to the transformation of Everllence since 2020. Klöpffer implemented the “Performance 2023” structural program and put the company’s strategic realignment on track.

Expertise from the industry

Uwe Lauber, CEO of Everllence: “Rainer Seidl brings in-depth financial expertise, international experience and a strong understanding of industrial transformation processes. He joins us at an exciting time. Our company is growing dynamically and has established a strong economic position in recent years. I am looking forward to working with Rainer Seidl in the Executive Board team.”

The 53-year-old Seidl holds a degree in industrial engineering and mechanical engineering. After studying at the Augsburg and Munich Universities of Applied Sciences, he began his career at Audi in Ingolstadt, where he worked in plant logistics planning and controlling, among other things. In 2007, he took over as Head of Investment Controlling at Audi. In January 2011, he moved to Automobili Lamborghini as Head of Finance. From January 2016, he was First Vice-President Finance at FAW-Volkswagen in China and from 2019 Executive Vice-President Finance at Volkswagen Group China in Beijing. Since September 2021, he has been responsible for Group Controlling at Volkswagen AG in Wolfsburg.
