Dutch ship designer Saltwater Engineering has unveiled a design for a new offshore supply vessel. The design, christened “Blue Quest”, is intended to be used for a variety of applications. The official market launch will take place at the end of November at the Offshore Energy trade fair.
“Blue Quest” is the result of extensive experience with ship conversions and is intended to combine a lean and efficient design with extensive functions. According to Saltwater Engineering, the vessel was specifically designed for geophysical surveys, minor geotechnical work and the identification and removal of unexploded ordnance. It serves as a versatile platform that can be easily mobilised for a variety of offshore survey services.

The official launch of “Blue Quest” will take place at Offshore Energy at the RAI in Amsterdam. On 26 and 27 November, visitors will have the opportunity to see the scale model up close.
