Rickmers company Searenergy takes over Hemmerschütz Solutions

The offshore service provider Searenergy from the ASSC Group of the Rickmers family is expanding its portfolio with the acquisition of the maintenance and repair specialist Hemmerschütz Solutions from Toppenstedt.

SeaRenergy Offshore Holding, founding partner of the shipping company Windward Offshore, announced the acquisition of 100% of the shares – with effect from November 28, 2025, according to the press release. “With this acquisition, we are strengthening our service portfolio and sharpening our profile as an integrated full-service provider for offshore wind projects,” it says.

Hemmerschütz Solutions is an expert in offshore maintenance and repair. To date, Searenergy’s portfolio has included services in the areas of engineering, marine services and QHSE. By integrating other aspects such as corrosion protection, welding, concrete repairs and services for the rotor, tower and foundation, the aim is to broaden the range of services on offer. Last but not least, the expanded portfolio is intended to “increase SeaRenergy’s resilience to project cycle fluctuations”. The demand for repair and maintenance services in offshore wind farms remains consistently high, even in times of reduced new construction activity.

Benjamin Vordemfelde, CEO of Searenergy, emphasized that the aim is to future-proof the business and create new project and development opportunities. “At the same time, we are increasing SeaRenergy’s attractiveness as an employer in a growing and highly dynamic market,” the CEO continued. Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.

Hemmerschütz Solutions, in turn, is to be given access to new markets, larger offshore wind projects and long-term customer relationships. Managing Director Mark Thomaschütz said: “Our services will remain clearly recognizable while being incorporated into integrated solutions that are planned and implemented together with SeaRenergy. This provides our team with a solid organizational base and the opportunity to work on even more complex offshore wind projects.”
