Navilands digitizes emission data with ABS Wavesight

The Greek Navilands Group relies on the ABS Wavesight platform to automatically collect emissions data and facilitate compliance with FuelEU maritime and EU ETS regulations.

Since January 1 of this year, shipping companies have been obliged to record fuel-related data for ships calling at EU ports and submit it for verification. The classification society ABS has developed the Wavesight platform to record this data. The Greek Navilands Group has now decided to use it.

The Wavesight platform offers an end-to-end solution that automates data collection and simplifies submission to ABS for legal verification via an API interface. Wavesight is offered by ABS as Software-as-a-Service (SaaS). Navilands Group selected the system to utilize a single, integrated platform that facilitates compliance with the requirements of the FuelEU Maritime Regulation and the EU Emissions Trading Scheme(ETS).

Navilands plans to equip more units

Navilands will initially implement the Carbon Diligence Suite, a component of the new ABS Wavesight Advantage platform, on selected bulkers and container vessels, with plans to expand to additional units by the end of the year.

“ABS Wavesight is proud to help Navilands proactively meet the demands of a rapidly changing regulatory environment,” said Staci Satterwhite, CEO of ABS Wavesight. “Our platform is designed to adapt and scale with precision – empowering our clients to safely and efficiently implement environmental regulations.”

“Navilands uniquely combines a strong people-oriented culture with cutting-edge technology and environmental responsibility – values we share with all our partners and suppliers,” said Panagiotis Foinikis, CEO of Navilands Group. “ABS Wavesight Advantage offers our teams a simplified path to compliance and our customers peace of mind that their fleet is compliant.”
