As the company announces, this involves the Swedish forwarding company C Land Logistics with locations near Gothenburg (Boras), in Norrköping and in Helsingborg. Business operations with around 20 employees under the managing directors Jonas Olofsson and Henrik Bengtson will continue under the existing brand name until further notice, “there will be hardly any noticeable changes in the operating business for customers and business partners,” it says.
“The takeover fits ideally into our existing network and is the perfect addition to our activities in Northern Europe,” explained Heiko Voigt, Managing Director of Fr. When asked by HANSA, the Hamburg-based company would not provide details on the scope of business and key financial figures of C Land Logistics or the purchase price.
Fr. Meyer’s Sohn is also keeping quiet about its own business development and strategic goals. The logistics company, which specializes in the commodity segment (forest products, pulp, etc.), is one of the major international players. US market researcher Armstrong & Associates ranks the company 15th among sea freight forwarders worldwide with an estimated transport capacity of 800,000 TEU. (mph)
