Maersk promotes Sauzedde to Regional Head for Europe

The Danish liner shipping company A.P. Moller-Maersk appointed Guillaume Sauzedde as its new Regional Managing Director Europe at the beginning of the year.

The 51-year-old Frenchman succeeds Aymeric Chandavoine, who left the company at the end of the year to take on a new role outside the industry.

Sauzedde has been part of Maersk since 2024 and was previously responsible for Logistics & Services in the European region. He previously held senior positions at Ceva Logistics, including Area Managing Director Central & Eastern Europe and Regional Managing Director Middle East & Africa. His career also includes management positions at Kuehne + Nagel, including Country Manager Poland and Senior Vice President Contract Logistics for Central and Eastern Europe.

“It is exciting to be able to provide such a powerful and differentiating offering to our customers in these disruptive times, delivering resilient, value-adding end-to-end solutions,” Sauzedde emphasized in a statement.

In his new role, Sauzedde will work out of Maersk’s Warsaw office and commute regularly to the Group’s headquarters in Copenhagen.
